The characteristics of seamless titanium tube

1. The seamless titanium tube: titanium tube has high strength. Titanium alloy has very high strength, its tensile strength is 686 - 1176MPa, but the density is only about 60% of steel, so the intensity is higher.
2. High hardness of seamless titanium tube: The hardness of titanium alloy is 32 - 38.
3. Low elastic modulus of seamless titanium tube: The elastic modulus of titanium alloy (annealed state) is 10 ×1.176 ×10MPa, which is about half of steel and stainless steel. The standards of implementation: ASTMB337, ASTMB338, ASTMB338B861.
4. Good performance in high temperature and low temperature: Titanium alloy in the seamless titanium tube can maintain good mechanical properties at high temperature, and its heat resistance is higher than that of aluminum alloy. The scope of the working temperature is wider. At present, the working temperature of the new type heat resistant titanium alloy is 550℃ to 600℃.At low temperature, the strength of the titanium alloy increased compared with the strength at room temperature, and it has good toughness. The cryogenic titanium alloy can also keep good toughness in minus 253 degrees.

Good corrosion resistance of seamless titanium tube: the surface of titanium in the air below 550 degrees will rapidly form a thin and compact titanium oxide film, so in the oxidation medium and strong base, such as the atmosphere, water, nitric acid and sulfuric acid, its corrosion resistance is better than most stainless steel. Seamless titanium tubes is made of extrusion process, while the welded titanium pipe is made of the welding of sheet metal.
